My history has always been in hospitality. I have worked in restaurants as an aspiring chef and for many years in retail management. My true passion and happy place has been creating in the kitchen. I put on my music and get lost in the creative process. I love making people happy through food.
Then why the switch from humans to dogs you may wonder?
A couple of years ago a heart stealing Puggle came into my life. This cute little guy changed everything. I had one dog already, a Cavichon, but he was pretty low maintenance (as far as food went) with a very sweet disposition. Then along came Gramps. Also an incredibly loving dog (he has me wrapped around his little pawz) But I saw very quickly he had terrible allergies and I was on a quest to become a better dog parent. It was very frustrating in the beginning as I could not find the right food. He would be up at night scratching relentlessly. (Which meant I was awake as well. ) After several trial and errors, I learned that grains are not good for him and I have to limit potato products. He eats a limited ingredient diet without any gluten or potato product. I have managed to get his allergies and constant scratching under control. Through Gramps, I learned about what is best to feed dogs with skin irritations as Gramps reacted very quickly if something bothered him. I made my own treats with limited ingredients because only the best would suffice.
I recently adopted a beautiful Pitbull named Rose to add to our furfamily. (That's her somewhat pictured here) I absolutely adore this silly, loving girl and encourage everyone thinking of getting a dog to #adoptdontshop.
So why a mobile business? I love the idea being out and about with my customers. I like that I can travel around to different areas and connect with more dogs and their parents. I love the freedom a mobile business allows rather than staying in the same spot as a retail location would dictate. Everyday is something different and I find that so very exciting.
My dogs have made me realize I want to work with and for animals. Since adopting my Pittie, I volunteer with the rescue group to try to save more. I strongly believe in rescue and adopting and being an advocate for the voiceless.
I only carry products that are of the highest quality, made in the U.S.A and supplied from responsibly sourced companies that share the same values as Gramps, Diamond, Rose and myself.
